How to Play Seven Card Stud
Seven-Card Stud can be the next rung on the ladder to poker playing without being overly difficult to learn and master. Similar to Texas Hold-em, Seven-Card Stud is a great beginning poker game. As one of the most popular poker games today, you will find this at nearly every casino and table that you choose for your poker playing.

First things first, the dealer will collect the ante, or beginning wager, from each player to start the game. Each of the players will then receive three cards in front of them, two cards down and one card face up for everyone to see. After the last card is shown, a round of betting, beginning with the person to the left of the dealer begins.

The dealer then gives each player a fourth card face up and takes bets. Normal betting rules apply with the ability to raise and check as deemed necessary. The same process happens for the fifth and sixth cards with betting after each card is played face up for the individual players. A seventh card is dealt face down to each player and another round of betting occurs.

At this point and after the bets are finished (with a normal amount of raising and calling of amounts), the person to the left of the dealer begins to reveal their hand. With the seven cards available to each player, the player will be making a five card poker hand for themselves.

The trick of Seven-Card Stud is that you have to figure out what other players may have from the cards that are showing on the table. This will take time to master, so allow your self to lose in the beginning games of play. As you start to see how the game can be played, you will inevitably increase your skills.
